It’s a SHAME that the Matrix saga is now seen as the One good movie and the “shitty sequels”. Shitty sequels with an impressive array of imagination and creativity as seen in these stills. I STILL don’t know for sure what all the gold code is. There are so many new ideas in the Animatrix and the sequels that put little The Matrix 1 to dust, it’s disgraceful. Some would complain about too much action, others about too much dialogue, others about not enough Matrix in the Revolutions.

All I know is after 10 years I still find new things in these movies and I still come up with new ideas and theories to explain every nook and cranny of its plot.

A lot of people claim games, movies, books are escapism. That couldn’t be further from the truth for me. Every movie, book and especially game I’ve enjoyed has helped me see the world through different eyes and made my life and my outlook on life better, more inclusive, more thoughtful and considerate. I will chase after any game that is deep and rich and I’ll savour it and I’ll identify with the characters and any life changing moments happening in the story, I usually apply them to my own life and see how it matches up. It’s not escapism for me, it’s enrichment. It’s adding color and different lines of thought and helping me be better.

The past is gone, and cannot harm you anymore. And while the future is fast coming for you, it always flinches first and settles in as the gentle present.
