Do not publish on the Amazon AppStore

For a while, the Amazon AppStore was the great beacon of light, the savior of Google’s terrible Market, here to review your apps and games and promote them. Then the IGDA came to the rescue:

IGDA’s Warning about the Amazon Appstore’s Terms

From the missive:

The IGDA’s point is crystallized a bit lower:

The IGDA’s bottom line is simple: under Amazon’s current terms, Amazon has little incentive not to use a developer’s content as a weapon with which to capture marketshare from competing app stores.

Better yet, get an iOS Developer Account and buy a cheap Macbook Air.
